The company is now leveraging its online software and technology expertise to offer native mobile application development solutions.
Planet Discover develops mobile applications for the iOS (iPhone and iPad), Android and BlackBerry platforms. In building out mobile application development capabilities, Planet Discover has leveraged the company's core software, Search Publisher, to create Search Publisher Mobile. A mobile application content management system, Search Publisher Mobile allows Planet Discover development teams to create robust, repeatable and easy-to-manage mobile applications for a wide variety of clients.

The Planet Discover Local News app for iPhone and Android is a standardized news reader that leverages the company's core software, Search Publisher, to integrate and manage a variety of content sources.
The HawkeyeNation custom mobile application developed by Planet Discover includes versions for iPhone and Android devices, and includes Facebook and video integration.
Local News App
As part of its mobile application offering, Planet Discover has introduced a Local News app based on content already included in a client instance of Search Publisher. With the Local News app, media companies benefit from a single mobile application solution that can be readily repeated and offered in multiple market locations.
The Local News app delivers content selected by a media partner, including local and national news, sports, obituaries and specific news of interest such as local sports teams, for example. The application can also integrate content from other local news sources.
In addition to the Local News app, Planet Discover also offers custom application development for media companies, distributors, manufacturers and retailers.
